This week, Ontario College of Technology (OCOT) President Teresa and Co-Founder Greg were officially invited to visit Changchun University of Chinese Medicine, a leading institution in traditional Chinese medicine education located in Jilin Province, China.
During the visit, both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on academic exchange and cooperation. The visit concluded with a formal signing ceremony, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership focused on joint education and training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

✍ International Dual-Learning Opportunity: Study in China, Graduate Globally
Under this newly signed agreement, students enrolled in OCOT’s Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine programs will have the opportunity to study for one semester in China at Changchun University of Chinese Medicine.
Participants will be immersed in a comprehensive TCM curriculum delivered on-site and will gain practical experience through clinical observation and training in a real-world hospital setting. Upon completion of the semester, students will be awarded an official Certificate of Completion issued by Changchun University of Chinese Medicine.
This initiative not only enriches students' educational journeys with international experience, but also significantly enhances their career prospects and professional recognition in Canada, the U.S., and beyond.
🌍 Global Vision, Practical Skills: Building Pathways for Future TCM Professionals
This partnership reflects OCOT’s commitment to delivering globally integrated, skill-focused education. By offering international learning opportunities, OCOT empowers students to deepen their understanding of traditional Chinese medicine while building cross-cultural competence.
Future plans include faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and expanded opportunities for clinical internships abroad, allowing students to develop both academic knowledge and practical expertise in an international context.
This collaboration not only reinforces OCOT’s strategic vision of internationalization but also contributes to the broader mission of promoting the global integration of traditional Chinese medicine.
